What is tallow?
Tallow is a traditional skincare ingredient — purified beef fat, naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K. Its makeup is remarkably close to the oils your skin produces on its own, which is why skin tends to absorb it so well.
Will it feel greasy?
Not when you use it right. A little goes a long way: warm a small amount between your hands and press a thin layer into damp skin. It sinks in and leaves skin soft, not slick.
Is it good for sensitive or dry skin?
That's exactly why I started making it — for my own family's sensitive, dry skin. I make unscented versions of every body product for the most reactive skin. As with anything new, patch test first.
What scents do you offer?
Whipped tallow and tallow balm come in vanilla, sandalwood, lavender, and unscented. Lip balms come in sugared strawberry, pumpkin cheesecake, vanilla, and unscented.
How long will one jar last?
Longer than you'd expect — a little goes a long way. With daily use, most people get several weeks to a couple of months from the 8 oz whipped tallow.
My jar arrived soft or melted. Is it ruined?
Not at all — that's normal in warm weather. Tallow softens with heat. Let it cool at room temperature until it firms back up and it's good as new.
How do I use the paw and nose balm?
Massage a thin layer into your dog's paw pads or nose as needed. Great for dry, cracked pads in winter and hot pavement in summer.
